Burns is a negative asset with how long that contract lasts. Nobody wants to be paying him 4 mil until hes 40. Even retaining 50%, you'd have to pay to move him at this point.

That is way too much for Hertl, even with an extension. Take out one of Lundqvist/Chytil and you’re closer.

Without an extension he’s a first and a top prospect. Not saying this is a good trade but he has a lot of value.
