Agreed on all of the above. Plus, people forget that PLD had a rough start to the season, then had to quarantine for 2 weeks before he could even join the Jets, a team that plays a completely different system than the Jackets did...it shouldn't be super surprising that he put up mediocre numbers.

Considering Anaheim already said no to a PLD swap and said he won't be used in an Eichel swap, pretty safe to assume they wouldn't trade within Conference when PLD has seemingly given up trying unless he's on MTL.

The Jets have been been trying to fill a hole at 2C for years, they're not going to turn around and recreate that hole in their lineup 6 months later.
