cheering for minnesota simply because i want the leafs to have the maximum amount of rest days. a game 7 forces the first round to friday.

heres the sad part of all this

Pittsburgh traded their 1st round pick to Toronto last year and through that gave Minnesota this years first (go back to the Zucker trade to understand why). Who is in the playoffs. That means Minnesota will get the 20th OA pick. Management is gonna need to make a descision on whether they will keep trading away picks or start drafting guys as Crosby and Malkin aint getting any younger.

Vasy's ability to mentally rebound after a loss is underappreciated.

They could've got Cossa with that pick and cured their goalie problem. Whatever it is they do, the pens have gotta act soon.

Brutal trade and a hard way to inherit the team for Burke and staff. They got a real pickle and tbh I think Hextall and Burkey will not rebuild - which may be scary for pens fans..

I think they should leave the team alone and start drafting in order to start building a prospect pool for the future. Poulin and POJ are not enough. They need young talent to come in and make a difference in a couple of years as they got the foundations and are still a good deep team. But they got to start planning for the future as Crosby and Malkin aint getting any younger.

What should Pittsburgh and Washington do this offseason? Ovi and Crosby are approaching the end of their primes so it's now or never. Do they go for it all by trading prospects and picks or start the rebuild? Or should they do something else?

I think they're dragging out the contending period for too long and they need to get ahead on the rebuild. Both teams have a lot of older players and shallow prospect pools. It's gonna be very interesting to see what happens with these two teams. I like your thought.

To be completely honest, if I'm Hextal or Washington's GM, I would go all in (trading prospects and picks) and not waste the final years of Ovi and Sid.

Montreal have looked miserable in most of the games this series so yes, I am confident that Toronto can close out tomorrow.

They might push for one more but that'll be it 100%...

To be honest, I'm not sure I'd say that, Montreal will have fans if it goes to 6 games.

Annoyed that I didn't manage to watch tonight's games. But glad that Isles won, torn that FLA season is over and impressed of Wild's resilience.
