I think it's Montreals game to lose. I didn't watch the whole of game 2 but I don't think I ever saw anything truly threatening from the Jets offensive-wise. Montreal just needs to let them frustrate themselves into making mistakes.

I hate that I enjoy watching the Habs play. I have no idea why so many Habs fans hate Bergevin.

Although I still tend to disagree on Trotz, because how the hell else is this Isles team past Crosby, but Pelech and Pulock are heavily underrated, I'll give you that.

As for the Komarov situation, I obviously cannot speak on behalf of Trotz, but my best guess would be based off of Wahlstrom, who isn't playing in a similar situation to our Romanov. Real quick, did Wahlstrom ever play on Barzal's wing during the season? Because maybe Trotz wanted to keep all the other lines intact, but had to sub in Komarov for Wahlstrom to get a veteran presence (beats me why Komarov is still in the NHL, but I guess that's another one of Trotz's faults).

That said I still believe Trotz has a winning formula and if they beat the Bruins they have a serious shot at the cup.

Are you talking about Byron? Ehlers fell into him. It looked bad from the one angle, but the other angle showed they just collided after Ehlers fell after taking the shot.

Montreal is mentally breaking teams, first Toronto and now Winnipeg. Add in they’re playing great too and you got a winning recipe.

MTL vets are getting hot at the right time and their young players have that it factor , they seem to raise their game in high pressure situations. Also playoff price is real,, he’s mediocre during the regular season though lol

I think he knows when to turn it on. No need to go all out when you make 10m and save it for when your team needs you. He’s been carrying the team for years, let them to some lifting and then he turns it on like a muscle car in the playoffs.

And yuuup. Montreal is putting it all together when it matters most. And that’s literally all that matter.. they’re winning when they need to. They’re letting the Vets and top 4 D take the hardest assignments and they’re doing fantastic. Then whenever they get a chance throw out the kids they let them loose like dogs (they also are facing good competition so I’m not saying they’re only playing 4th lines and feasting).

Like honestly Jets look dead in the water. Toronto at least put up a fight making 3-0 and 2-0 leads disappear in 10mins in the third and yet ****ed themselves in OT TWICE with stupid turnovers. Man if Toronto made it to r2 even if Matthews and Marner did not show up with the way jets are playing would not be surprised if they swept them
