Literally to a winning team, Taylor Hall has all the appeal of a VD at a free love festival, and COL isn’t giving up ANYTHING of value for Hall especially one slotted for the top 4 who has size and skating ability whom would have been a top 10 pick if not for a blood clot issue.

That says it all..till the Pegula's stop hiring rookie GM's and head coaches the suffering will continue. They have their yes man as GM who is in way over his head. If they trade Eichel they need a GM that will drive a hard bargain or this trade will go down as worse then the ROR trade if it's even possible.

Normally I would say yes, but Carolina doesn't shy away from big trades, and they are in win now mode for the next 4 years.

If they trade Eichel, they can maximize their return with an offseason deal where there are more suitors. Teams have financial flexibility as they will have contracts rolling off their books and an ability to exceed cap by 10% during the offseason. If they want to trade him before the deadline then there aren't many people who can participate, as about a third of the league are using LTIR and aren't accruing deadline day cap space. Whenever a deal happens, be prepared to receive picks & prospects plus a few bad contracts (which brings improved picks) to help the deal get done. The sad thing is that it would prolong the pain and the core problem means dysfunction will return sooner rather than later.

Big trades yes... but right now, moving Jarvis makes no sense. There is no hole right now that moving him fills. I also don't know if Reinhart is worth it. For a high flying team like Carolina, Reinhart's skating is questionable.
