Edit: Seventh round pick is in 2022, and becomes a sixth IF Nash plays in 25% of leaf playoff games.

LTIR space, decent playoff add. Dubas might get a lot of flack, but he is really smart at evading the cap when he's tight on it.

Columbus gets credit for getting anything at all out of a guy who was supposed to be off the board completely.

I almost flipped my sh*t when I saw the Nash deal until I saw that he's out until the playoffs and effectively won't count against the cap. Not a bad move

If I'm the Leafs and Isles (the only teams that I think can beat Tampa with some luck and trades). Edmonton is just gonna be stubborn as usual and no go all in/ make big moves is what Holland sounded like.

The Leafs and Isles need to do something cause if this Tampa deal is as big as people think it could be (not randoms but nhl sources); Tampa could become giant, and they already are.

Tyler Johnson probably involves for cap reason, deal is most likely 1st, TyJo + for Savard

CBJ basically handing Tampa the cup because if Savard includes 2 teams retention and Johnson gone. Tampa could easily fit savard plus other TDL adds. scary going forward and refers to my other comment.

They aren't as horrid as many think.

Take off their games against Edmonton and Vancouver and I believe they have a 500 or positive record. Their horrid start is a big reason they are seen as so bad.

Take off Vancouvers games against Montreal and Montreal is pretty much at the same pace of ~500.

I know this is a crummy way of evaluating teams, but its funny how a team can be seen as so good / so bad based on a heavy skew from how they play one team.

I know the Senators are better than their record. Their record would look much better if they were playing Detroit and Buffalo more often than Winnipeg and Edmonton. I'm just staying they get the glowing eyes **** when playing Toronto.

They are a good team when their goaltending isn’t terrible.

the north division is very underrated. no other division has every team wanting to kill every other team.

ottawa definitely plays up to the leafs and they have nothing to lose with a good performance.
