    Détails additionnels:
Obviously I'm banking on Edmundson having a solid season in order for this trade to happen. No matter what analytics or any other statistics say, there is still market for big defensemen, hence why Bergevin felt the need to acquire his right before anyone else could overpay him and why teams continue to trade for guys like Gudbranson. Seattle being in a physical division is also a factor that will guide their selections.

I've seen much worse first teams, heck I've seen much worse 100+ teams in.

    Hello and welcome. =)

Welcome to CF, honestly it's better than the average.

MTL-BOS trades never happen so I don't know, I also like Kuhlman and I'm not that high on Kulak. I know he's a good depth D but he is probably like a plan E for us.
Agreed with "there is still market for big defensemen" in the trade details but disagree with the rest. Unless Edmundson has a really good season and there is a lack of good D available, don't see Seattle taking him (for free).

    Welcome to CapFriendly!

Nothing here is bad at all, I just can't see Montreal exposing Edmundson to Seattle so soon after signing him unless he's Alzner levels of bad. The Habs traded for him as a pending UFA and then (imo) overpaid to extend him. Sounds like they really, really like him, for right or for wrong. I think he probably gets protected and Chiarot is the one who gets exposed, but that's just my take. Everything else is pretty reasonable though.

    Thanks for the positive feedback,

What I meant is that even if Edmundson does not have a stellar season, and plays just right as he should considering his contract, I don't see why Seattle won't take him. There are not a lot of better options on our roster, Mete will get crushed in the Pacific, Cale Fleury's ceiling is probably somewhere between Edmundson and Chiarot, Juulsen may never have a real career due to injuries, Byron's contract is not attractive without any incentive, and there are guys like Holtby available that should be taken over Allen.

Welcome to cap friendly and join the Habs community on here and if you have an idea that you think will get flamed, don’t post it’s not worth the effort to argue with others and as a tip in general use the ignore list if you find a user annoying and find a way to have fun in this mostly good community

Chiarot works well, can handle first pairing minutes and is probably better than I think Edmundson will be. The timing of Chiarot's contract is perfect as well, as it ends when Suzuki and Romanov needs raises. Chiarot's departure will be attenuated by Norlinder's and Guhle's imminent arrivals, while Edmundson will just create a logjam

Well I meant Habs community as you know another Habs fan on this site it’s not really an actual community and for “my have fun in this mostly good community” I meant the CapFriendly community since every site has their trollers and people who will argue eternally with you because they feel like it

    Welcome!

Contracts are in range, you stayed under the salary cap, you didnt sign Ovechkin or made a 10 players trade. You look like you are one of the good ones! Yes, the bar is that low lol...

Piece of advice : Dont hesitate to add toxic people to your Ignore list. Always a looser arguing with the foolish. It can get upseting.

On the other hand, some people are able to construct an argument, see value in other people's opinion and/or agree to disagree. Looking foward to see more gutsy ideas on your part!

For MTL's sake, I hope you're right. Didn't like the Edmundson signing; I think he brings value in the right role, but not at that cap hit/term, especially when Romanov, Norlinder eventually Guhle will be ready before he's gone. I really do believe he's the second coming of Karl Alzner, but we'll have to see.

Maybe he performs well and Seattle takes him, its a long season

Welcome to CF. Realistic value on the trade, kudos for that, but B’s don’t need another 3rd pair caliber LD man. They have 4 to choose from for 1 spot already and 3 of them are out of options. Rather just hold onto to Kuhlman.
