ESPECIALLY when that trade doesn’t make sense if we’re trying to win cause we lose money, are over cap even without your proposed retention, AND danault leaves in free agency

He’s an offensive defender but doesn’t mean he’s bad defensively. Al OFD make poor choices as they’re just gambling a lot, but Karlsson stats read he is not bad and still quite good / elite overall

montreal rejects and sharks reject the trade since sharks won't retain 3mil for 7 years and Montreal doesn't need more centers especially on long term deals since he would be traded as soon as Suzuki, Kk, Poehling and others get paid

Not sure why Montreal would really want to do that after getting rid of Domi. Either way, the Sharks reject unless you remove the retention entirely.
