We can’t trade both Pesce and Fleury. We have the depth to trade 1 guy preferably a left hand shot. I wouldn’t be confident with keane and bean as a pairing. We would need to sign someone on the right side most likely. This could be done by moving out Reimer and swapping dzingle for McGinn. This would give enough cap space to bring back vatanen probably

Dont tell me Pesce is worth much better than Nylander cuz hes not. And Andersen is a 30 year old expiring goaltender while Fleury is a 24 year old Dman under team control who played really well this year

I'd pass. Leafs would need to either find other trades or dip into free agency to rectify their Goal tending and Forward holes after this. And as @csick mentioned (though this is a far lesser concern of mine if they should acquire someone of Pesce's caliber) it would put them in an unfavorable position for the ED.

I don’t have the trade. The trade on the surface seems decent. I still think the Canes would have to add a bit. Maybe a 2nd or a b level prospect or better yet a 2022 pick with the condition Anderson signs an extension. Nylander is without a doubt the best layer in the trade. He instantly slots into your top line and is a top notch offensive RW. But Pesce checks off way to man boxes for the Leafs for this not to be a good deal. It also frees up cap space to fill in for Nylander through FA. All in all, great AGM.

I think this could work if we didn’t include fleury in the deal. If we also were able to make a bit of cap space to resign vatanen or another rhd. I would be ok with that top 6 going into next season with a big upgrade in the top 6 and an upgrade in net.
