Makar plays the right side where the Rangers already have an embarrassment of riches. He doesn't pose as large of an upgrade to what the Rangers have as opposed to some other places.

Miro is great, but I don't think I'd take him over Lafreniere.

Couturier should probably be on here too, although it scares me that his contact ends the same year Mika's does

Lafreniere is good, but he is rather ho-hum in terms of #1 overalls.

No I read it, but just bc you dont think anyone of these guys would be offered doesnt excuse you for putting that out there. No one...and I mean no one would ever consider these moves bc either 1 for 1 is not enough or in McDavid, Mackinnon etc cases the 1st overall doesnt scratch the surface at the value to get them.

These are the players I would trade 1 for 1....you are trying to play both sides here, cant have it both ways.
You cant make a list of 1 for 1 guys that teams wont do 1 for 1 losing the trade...its pretty simple.

All you could have said, I wouldnt move the 1st overall for a kings ransom. well you arent going to get that in 1 for 1 players.

He was on pace for 56 points per 82 this year at 19 years old on a team that does not score goals. Those players don't come around all the time. Maybe 1 or 2 per decade.
