I agree the difference is not the wilds first rounder, but Nylander is still worth more. Maybe a second rounder.

Too much for the jets. Reilly is really good and what the jets need, but too much for just two years of him.

I wouldn't trade Fiala for Nylander 1 for 1.

To me this has nothing to do with the value of the trade. My team, even though I love them, lacks gamebreakers. I don't need to upgrade Fiala, I need more Fialas. We need our draft picks to do that. That's why it's such a bad trade for us. Nylander will not improve us to even near contender status...so I vote to keep the picks and Fiala and you can keep Nylander.

To add to this, what we need is to get a Nylander type player on top of Fiala. As @mnwild1790 said, drafting is the surest way of doing that. Otherwise it's going to cost us our best defenseman if want to improve through trade. They are better spent on getting us a top six center instead.

Agree, which is why I think Fiala is one of the few pretty much untouchable players the Wild have on their roster. Short of a no-brainer 1C coming back, there's no reason for Guerin to trade him when the team needs more players like him.

Honestly the only players that really are "available" are the ones who have clauses in their contracts...oh how I love no trade/movement clauses...

I think if the right offer came along, one of Dumba or Brodin are available. I also think Guerin would be open to moving Greenway or Donato for fair value.
