If you can play, you can play and Robertson can play and the kid is special. You probably said the same thing about Elias Pettersson on the Canucks where it was obvious that he could play after one game in the NHL.

I will go on record on CapFriendly again for you that Sandin is going to be another very special player and to my mind he is going to be the next Lidstrom or Salming on the Leafs.

Sandin was the top defenceman in the World Juniors and AHL last year and he is only 20 years old. Watched him really closely and he always makes the right play and has big time offensive skills. Everyone who follows the Marlies knows he is a special hockey player.

He absolutely destroyed the OHL this year and he is as elite as they come. He is bringing a new element to the Leafs third line with Kerfoot and Kapanen and Leafs are going to now have 3 very powerful lines for teams to try to shut down.

He scored 55 goals in 46 OHL games this year and was dominant at World Juniors for team USA. A lot of the Leafs players have publicly endorsed him in the media which is very unusual for a young player in the NHL.

I love robby. He’s a great kid and I have some personal ties to him through a mutual friend. I wish nothing for the best with the kid. I’m just saying to temper your expectations.

Justin Brazeau is 6 foot 6 and 226 pounds and scored 61 goals and 113 points in 68 games in his last year of OHL junior hockey for the North Bay Battalion. The kid grew up in Northern Ontario and did not have access to year round hockey training and is a late bloomer. He has an NHL shot and tremendous offensive abilities and is now working on improving his skating with Barb Underhill and will be playing on the Marlies next year. He lead all rookies with 27 goals and finished second amount rookies with 55 points in 57 games in the EHL on the Newfoundland Growlers.

He has a big heart and is not afraid of putting in the hard work and really wants to make it as a NHL hockey player and he is going to do everything he can to make the it. He has the potential to be an absolute home run for Dubas and the Leafs regardless of your uninformed opinion.
