Description
Just wanted to see what you guys would suggest adding to Dylan Larkin as the elite piece

Would the Sabres want Seider? Or Zadina? One of those two is likely going

Dennis Cholowski, Evgeny Svechnikov, and possibly Michael Rasmussen could use some new scenery

4th overall(just an idea, don’t be mean)

Obviously some of them second round picks

Why? If he wants success, then why not go to one of the most exciting rebuilds in the league? The Sabres are obviously going nowhere, especially if they trade him. If I were Eichel the Wings would be near the top of my trade list. Yzerman has more respect around the league than you give him credit for.
Eichel would be the perfect dominating center for the Wings’ rebuild

Who will he play with there? It would be more logical to assume that most likely he would have moved west and into a more rival team at the moment than Detroit.

Which team in the west would be looking for Jack? I’m open for suggestions

Because to get Eichel the wings would need to give up most of the rebuild so far. It's not an exciting rebuild if you lose Larkin, Seider, Zadina, the 4th Overall pick or a combination of 3 of those pieces.

It seems to me that at least half of these teams will at least be interested, some of them really do not have enough elite 1C

St. Louis
Colorado
Vegas
Nashville
Calgary
Winnipeg
Minnesota
Arizona
Anaheim

Agree with above but imo BUF asks for Larkin, Seider, this years first and another piece. Detroit just needs to add talent in the whole.

I don't see any of those teams being willing/able to give up the value required to get him. Buffalo has until he hits UFA to build a team around him, or he'll go then. Maybe the deadline before if the writing is on the wall.

Well, he's got a six-year contract and the price will be high. So far, he has not asked for a deal. I also don't see how Yzerman trade Larkin+++ for Eichel.

He's not happy with all the losing, that's for sure. But that seems to be more directed at management wanting a semi-competent team around him, rather than demanding a move. If 4 more seasons go by and he still doesn't have that we will probably be hearing from him that he wants out.

I don’t think it makes sense for the Wings but I think a realistic trade would be Larkin, Zadina, 4th overall for Eichel with maybe some mid-tier assets also being added

Your logic is to go to a team in a worst position? Buffalo is closer to being a contender then Detroit is and they have actual assets being built around Eichel.

One year with Detroit after what he has gone through with Buffalo already and he asks out. He has commented on how Buffalo hasnlots of good young talent and sees them being very good in the near future just is frustrated it hasn't happened sooner. Move him to a team that is a couple of years behind the Sabres in their rebuild and give up alot of their young assets to acquire him and he is going to feel like its Deja Vu all over again. Detroit definitely would be better next year with Eichel despite what they would have to give up, but that still is likely a worse season than Buffalo had this year and not something he signs up for.

what is exciting about detroits rebuild?

they just finished in dead last and have the 4th pick.

their talented players are aging into their late 20s and need new contracts that will likely overpay them.

Late 20s? Larkin turns 24 tomorrow, Mantha 25, Bertuzzi 25, and Hronek 22.

I’m not sure I’d label our rebuild as exciting but hopefully the lottery gods don’t let us slip any more in the draft. The same could be said about having to overpay Buffalo players.

my guess is Larkin, the 4th overall pick Hronek and Veleno/Rasmussen. the only way Eichel is traded is if you massively overpay
