Subban was a good trade for Nashville at the time! Weber seemed to have been declining and Subban was 2 years removed from his Norris winning year so at the time Montreal lost that trade. Montreal just simply lucked out and Weber regained his form and Subban crashed. Forsberg is still a top 6 forward on a really strong Nashville team that has had issues this year with consistency.

they can platoon mueller with caleb jones and give time for broberg and bahl to develop. not to mention that once russell is off the books they don’t need to find a replacement for him since they should be fully developed by then

The idea works in theory, but Darnell is a big part of the teams "fabric". He is viewed by management as a key piece and is close friends with McDavid, Nuge, etc. I can't see the Oil trading him anytime soon.

Nurse is a 1st pairing defenseman. Why would they trade that for a guy who "can platoon" on the 3rd pairing, a prospect at a position they are already very well endowed, plus an older bottom-6 guy? Easy no.

I try to evaluate each player, teams needs, cap situation, etc. You just give em away wholesale for bad returns, like this AGM we're on right now. Nobody else thinks this is a good trade except you.
