Rangers blueline sucks, regardless of handedness, im sure someones gonna play on the other hand. Minnesota needed a guy who can play centre (ik hes a winger here but whatever) plus with Manson, Dumba is expendible. Maybe the rangers add a pick?

Defensively the Rangers are pretty rough but most of that is do to scheme/structure and giving defensive black holes like Marc Staal way too much ice time.

Rangers can’t really handle Dumba’s cap hit nor would they accept an RHD when they’re already trying to make room for Lundkvist in the lineup.

But I do agree that Strome is the sort of player that would do very well in a place like Minnesota. He fills a lot of needs for ya.

I’m sure he’d waive to go to Sunny SoCal

But the Ducks suck. I dont think he would waive it to spend the end of his prime on a rebuilding team

This. Kunin + 1st is the basis of a decent Rakell deal, but doesn't really address our needs.

This is my least favorite Strome trade I've seen for us. Strome is not worth much more than a 2nd IMO, and even still I think his value is inflated due to Panarin. Leipold should fire Guerin immediately if he tried to make that Rangers trade.

Let's not glaze over the fact that Dubnyk is a easy buyout and giving up a 2nd isn't worth it.
