Weber is still elite, and hasn't been slowing down.

They also get one of the best defensive centers in the league who also produces like a top 6C, and they get a young winger who is solid defensively. This trade gives Toronto everything they need (including cap space in a level cap situation) for a Cup run before Andersen asks for the moon.

Avs aren't interested in Price at all. They already have one of the top goalie tandems in the league which costs half of prices cap hit. It's not a fit.

no, they really wouldnt. They dont need a 34 year old defender who has so much wear on his body he is literally at risk of falling off a cliff at any moment. Especially with that contract. Unless you mean by counter offer they offer entirely different leafs players for entirely different habs players, then sure. But there is nothing that the Habs could realistically put together for Marner and there is nothing the Leafs would give for the greenhouse that is Shea Weber.
