Carolina is trying to win the cup, they are probably closer then Toronto to doing it. They aren't trading a core player for futures, even if the retention is removed they still laugh and hang up

and if either gets injured
they got Forsberg and Nedeljovic

there hope is probs the fact Nedeljovic develops into a backup that can become a starter but hey better than when they had Darling.

u know as well as i do that wont get Pesce. Johnsson for pesce is an actual joke in value. Kapenan for Pesce was going to happen a year ago, but after this season and seeing him improve he wont do it either. In general with his contract and play style Pesce wont be cheap to get.

Did Pesce really improve that much tho? He had a major injury, so it's hard to tell. Plus that might affect him long term.

I expected this kind of response. Pesce is probably worth more than a mid-6 winger, B+ prospect and a 1st. Look at what Muzzin was traded for, now make him right handed, 5 years younger, and add a couple years onto his contract. I think if the Leafs wanted Pesce it would have to be Nylander straight up, or something which included Robertson and a 1st.
