To which I would like to add, why hasn't anyone else, including my fellow Anaheim fans, noticed that the Manson of 2017-2018 no longer exists?

He had a statistically great year... that doesn’t make it the norm. He gets a lot of Dzone starts, not a horrible Dman but not as good as the overvalue he gets on this site.

This post is from another thread from one of the whiny leafs fan that thinks the sky is falling and a couple of big names will give us an instant cup.

Unfortunatelly i dont see current blue Line bringing in a Cup either, especially with only one Goalie ( while everybody are pointing out PIT as excuse with their two Cups without super elite built D at least they had Fleury - Murray tandem that carried them, on top of Crosby and Malkin who are skill wise above Tavares and Matthews )

Agreed. Manson wouldn't be a #1 RhD on any team that actually had one -- Dumba, Ekblad, Trouba, McAvoy, Letang, Carlson, even Doughty! And he wouldn't play #2 on a lot of teams, either (Boston, the Island, Nashville, to name some). He's a good, sound 2/3 type of defensive defenseman. The reason my Anaheim colleagues say that the Ducks won't trade him is because we have nobody else, not due to his quality.

All You need to do is watch this garbage tonight to understand how bad this Leafs team truly is defensively. It is actually quite embarrassing.

Anyone who thinks that what we currently have is good enough is delusional.

No team in the league gives up quality assets for these bums. Laughable.

That is not an overreaction, it is a fact. Anyone not named Matthews, Marner , Andersen or Tavares is tradable and it should be considered.

Consider it all you want but Dubas isn’t stupid. He won’t force a trade and over pay. Everything you suggest is poor asset management.

Maybe the leafs don’t have the team to win a cup. Doesn’t Mean you burn it down and throw away valuable assets to try and patch weaknesses.

Oh and by the way.. leafs win... 6 straight. Calm down and enjoy the little things.

Somehow some Leafs fans and others think the Subban of 2013 still exist. Going by tonight's game....the worse RHD on the Leafs, maybe the league would be Tyson Barrie.

You should cheer for someone else. The Islanders are older, slower, less skilled and have tough guys and are playing above their skill level. Go find your truculence there.

But you take out all but 1 of that starts from the backup and they are near the top defensively and have a front runner for the Vezina. It's easy to shout stuff and appear smart when you ignore everything except a handful of stats that reinforce your opinion.

Anderssen isn’t near the top of the league and for either save % or goal against. Its easy to defend your team when clearly your defence is trash. Backup goalie or not that defensive squad have weakness in their own zone. They move the puck well but create a lot of turnovers. Toronto is 27 in the league for goal allowed and that it their defense sucks no excuse. Stop behind delusional its been now three month that the season is started. Stop making excuses toronto isn’t a great defensive team no mather what you say or the way you try to look at it. 126 goal alowed in 39 game is Bad

Andersen does lead goalies for wins I believe. The defence could certainly be better but I can only explain the fact that everyone in this site thinking defence is 6 guys on the fact that they have never played hockey.

Every shift there are 6 people responsible for keeping the puck out of their net... not 2....

Read up on score adjusted shots. You're just a Habs fan who is bitter because TO is going to make the playoffs and do damage and that hurts

You forgot to add higher in the standings *

Technically they are the same and I didn't say it as a chirp the Islander fans, just this clown who hates the team he cheers for and gets mad at any fan that is enjoying what is currently the hottest team in the league. He wants TO to be the Islanders a grinding no fun team that fights people sometimes.

Read up on score adjusted shots. You're just a Habs fan who is bitter because TO is going to make the playoffs and do damage and that hurts

Wow thats the stupidest answers i ever heard. Toronto defence doesn’t suck because i cheers for another team it’s suck because they can’t defend. 1967 thats the last words!

Score adjusted shot metrics. Look into it. Teams that have the lead get more shots against because teams work harder when they are behind. This is a well documented scenario. That isn't stupid, it's a fact.

Team that give more shoot have tendencies of shooting down sluts chance not increasing them. That documented to. The st-louis blues play that exact schema but doesn’t allowed a tons of shoot right between the dots. They limited the shoother on peripherals shoot. You can gave 40 shoot a night if those shoot are coming all from the outside you still will be better then a team who give 10 shot right inside the sluts. Mapleleafs defence suck and thats a facts stop being delusional, there a reason why they are 27 in the league. They will get kicks out in the first round again this year since they can defend ****.
