I would argue that Macarthur's contract shouldn't be there since its insured and doesn't count towards the cap. Mike Green also isn't that bad its almost over. Abdelkader's cap hit sint that high, if they retain 1 mill they could easily trade him. Players like Ladd and Little should probably be there instead and Alzner too

dont know how lundqvists and prices contracts are bad when they're both top 5 goalies in the league. not their fault that the guys infront of them suck.

1 year term left for a guy who scored 28 goals and 50 points last year isn't really a bad contract, especially since it was only a 3 year term and there is only 1 year left.

I do agree that MacArthur shouldn't be there. He was on a very fair and appropriate contract, you can't prepare for a series of concussions to end his career.

Backes contract is worse the Krejci. By a lot. Krejci still a legit #2 center. His NMC becomes modified NTC next year in he can be traded to half the league. Backes has become a 4th liner. His contract also becomes MTC but only 8 teams. The only good thing about it is after July 1 he is only owed 8m over final 2 years. Cap hit still 6 per tho.

Because it is easy to say the team in front of them sucks, but both of them have dropped off in their skill level a bit due to their age.
Paying Lundquist $8.5M+ and Price $10.5M+ means so much less salary to invest in a good team in front of them.
This is exactly why Columbus will not pay Bob $10M+ for an 8 year (or even 7 year for that matter) contract.

I would change the Krejci contract with the Backes contract. Backes hurts the team more, because he doesn't deliver, Krejci isn't that bad (But yeah, a bit overpaid).

Webers contract is 10x worse than alzner. webers is double the amount for double the length. Webers contract doesnt end until hes 40

webers cap hit is terrible, but his actual salary is 1mill. and in a sense yeah it is bad. ur right. esp if he retires before 40. nashvilles in trouble

Sabres alone have bogosian who is terrible- the 15 games a year he is not injured and matt moulson who is not on an nhl roster. Okposo is making 6, and theres some hard luck there, but its not a good look so far.
