Three NHLers and a second for two years of Faulk? Holy overpayment. But of course all RHDs seems to be Norris candidates. Faulk just isn't that good to give up all that.

Woah that's some overpayment. Also, I could be wrong, but I believe the only individual stat that a team can attach as a condition of a draft pick is games played.

Faulk will cost a 2nd a B prospect and that's it at this point. Skinner is a better player and more valuable. Just because he is a right handed defenceman doesn't mean his value is insanely high. Let's be real here. Faulk is terrible in his own zone and offers only offence, why bother sending assets when we are already going to be a sick offensive team.

Middle six guys on an absolute stacked leafs forward group. Kappi could easily be up on the first/second line with his speed and hands. Brown is a better version than Hyman (who is on our first line) he just has the unfortunate disadvantage of being on the leafs absolute dynamite right side and Grundstroms ceiling seems to be sky high. I am not defending one way or another, but if I am Leafs management I am moving a group for a MUCH better return than two years of Faulk.

There's nobody that moves the needle enough. It's a quantity over quality move. I'm not saying that none of these guys are good, because they're all assets, but if you take a second away from the "Every Leafs prospect is going to be elite" rum punch, then you'll see that none of these guys project to have the impact that a top 4 D like Faulk does.

Again, if I was Toronto then I wouldn't make this move because it thins the team out a lot, but, if I were Carolina, I'd hold out for a higher quality prospect.

Seriously? He is top 15 in Corsi and Fenwick for defenseman that played over 65 games.

Ever check out his GF%? Besides, his CF% and FF% still trail his 58% OZ starts.
