Description

The way I see the roster right now, Winnipeg needs some depth at the center position. By trading for a guy like Monahan, he will add some size and offense.

With Stanley, clearly he is not part of the plans, and the Jets will try to get anything for him. I can see a team like Chicago get him, where he has no pressure and could get more confidence while getting more ice time.

Monahan is a poor fit for Winnipeg. He's not good enough offensively for the top 6 and not good enough defensively for the bottom six. No interest.

Playoff teams add depth not give it away for nothing. No to the Chicago trade.

Chicago has Korchinshi, Vlasic, and Phillips (all younger than Stanley) already on the left side with Kaiser and Del Mastro waiting in the wings. They also have vets Tinordi and Megna on the roster. There's no room for Stanley.

Hawks are the wrong fit. They have Vlasic and Korchinksi locking up the top 2 spots on the left and options of Kasier, Del Mastro, Allan, and Philips at the 3rd spot....all of which are likely good enough to be in the NHL.
