Note: I don't think this could happen, or necessarily "want" this to happen as an NYR fan, but I've been seeing some rumors that about PLD + NYR, so I wanted to see if it could even make sense money/roster wise.

Trocheck would need to waive his full NMC in order to make money room... I suppose this could be a separate trade to a different team. Goodrow could in theory stay in place of Kane, but you'd have to run a 21 man roster and the top 6 would not look right.

Ultimately, I don't see why this rumor even exists. It would depend on way too many what-if's and prayers.

PLD Doesn't make sense for the rangers. He wants 9 million, and even at 8x8 its not worth weakening our team to acquire him.
He wouldn't even be our second best center. Chytil actually is our 2C. And you're proposing to move laf + trocheck, the production is a net negative, and you're overpaying for UFA years when trocheck at under 6 million is a very strong 3c.

Take TRad out of the Hawks deal and at least it's a fair offer to move Goodrow. Still don't think Hawks make the deal though. And Goodrow isn't waiving for Chicago anyway.
