<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>KrakenTheCode</b></div><div>The value on the Larsson trade is decent, but from a roster construction standpoint I don't think it makes much sense for Seattle, as they're a team trying to improve this season and Larsson is the anchor of their defense right now. The Kraken won't be looking to trade him anytime soon.
I think it'll take another piece, whether it's a high draft pick or good prospect, on top of your proposed package to pry Chychrun away from Arizona. Sandin is a solid player with room to grow, but Chychrun also fits that description and is clearly the better player right now. Plus I feel Sandin might be a bit overvalued in these proposed trades, especially considering his contract deadlock with the Leafs.
Also, did I miss something with Muzzin? I thought he was healthy, but is he actually going to be out for a while?</div></div>
Very well said, agree exactly with what was said. Also, no you didn't miss anything, Muzzin is healthy and will start the season. I think the OP only did that to make the cap situation work.

The Preds have a lot of great prospects on the wing, but not much at RD aside from Prokop and Ufko. Positionally, the proposal doesn't make sense for them.</div></div>
Toronto wanted Nashville's second round pick, and Nashville was willing to do the deal for Hirvonen straight up, instead of doing pick swaps. Leads me to believe they would be interested in acquiring him.

what every single leaf player is worth
I disagree on quite a few of your evaluations:
1) Matthews is amazing, and is worth $12.5-$13.5 million. If the cap jumps up by $10 million or so, then I could see him being paid upwards of that, but not now with the flat cap.
2) Marner is worth $10.5-$11 million easily. He's always above a PPG, plays great 5 on 5, the top powerplay, and also kills penalties.
3) Tavares is still a PPG player, and is fairly good defensively. He's probably worth in the range of $8-$9 million on a lot of teams (provided they would have the cap space).
4) It's hard to give a fair value to Matt Murray due to his health problems the past few years, but a conservative guess would have his worth around $2.5 million dollars, as he has a history of doing well in the past, and looked good at the end of last season.
5) Close on Bunting, but he's probably worth the same amount as Hyman, around $5.5 million.
6) After the season he had last year, I'd say Engvall is worth every dollar his contract is at right now.
7) Muzzin has had health issues, but since being acquired he's arguably been our best defender. He's worth at least $5 million for sure.
8) Kerfoot at $2.5 million is insulting. He's s 50 point scorer, excellent defensively, plays both power play and penalty kill. I'd say at $3.5 million he's actually undervalued as to what he'd be worth on the open market (assuming their wasn't a flat cap that is).
9) Sandin is worth just as much as Liljegren, if not more. Closer to $2.5-$3 million I'd say.

Is the Kings ever offered Durzi for Sandin, the Leafs would jump on that in a heartbeat.

Literally said in the trade above they acquire him so they can trade him for a pick at the deadline. They also still need to reach the cap floor.

Toronto instantly matches that offer. It will take over $3 million, or possibly over $4 million for Toronto to consider not matching.

Two problems here: First is Holtby is most likely retiring, so you won't be able to sign him. Second is Arizona does not have the money to be spending much above the cap floor.
Fun idea though lol

Doubt Tkachuk would sign long term in Buffalo, but as far as trade value goes its not bad. Although I think Calgary would be more interested in Nadeau than Kisakov

Canucks Go All In
1) Florida will probably want more for Weegar. Swap Hoglander with Podkolzin and add in a 3rd rounder and it might get done.
2) That is a terrible trade for Calgary. Myers is barely a step up from cap dump, and the 2nd rounder does not equal Tanev.
3) Why would the Canucks dump Dermott? He's the kind of player they could lock up for a long time at a cheap rate to play anywhere in the lineup (although most likely second or third pair). Poolman or Pearson are more likely to be dumped for picks.

Geez that's such a massive overpayment for Tanev. And that's coming from a Canucks fan who was incredibly sad to see him leave.

That being said, not enough value there for Calgary to make the trade.

Yes offensively they are nearly identical, but defensively its not even close. Tkatchuk back skates, gets takeaways, and throws the body around, whereas Nylander does not.

If Calgary does move Tkachuk, they will be offered a lot more than this proposal. Nylander is very good, yes...but a true power forward superstar in his prime is a very rare thing to be available. I expect a team to really overpay to get him.

This is the team to win
1) Muzzin probably won't waive to go back out west
2) Amirov is battling cancer right now, will not be trade by Toronto
3) Tkachuck wants over $10 million a year for 8 years
4) Would love to have Tkachuk in Toronto, but they are not good trade partners for Calgary. Only way I could see it happening is Tkachuk for Marner straight up, which I don't think the Leafs will do

I won't lie, all of the "Nylander, Kerfoot, Holl, and a 1st" for Tkachuck reminds me a lot of many years ago when Canucks fans would always propose "Cody Hodgeson, Mason Raymond, Keith Ballard, and a 1st" for Corey Perry. Just like the Canucks years ago, this trade is not gunna happen

1. What if the value is a 2023 1st, Liljegren, 2024 3rd for JT Miller (no retention) and Luke Schenn? I think the value is low but acceptable at this point.

2) Sandin has played RD before, although most people agree he is better as a LD

Very well said, and there is a good possibility you are right on this issue. I put Anaheim because I know during their press conference they talked a lot about needing more vets for their young guys to play with.
That being said, Anaheim can be changed for another team willing to pay a prospect or a couple of picks for him.

Toronto says no. That is a lot to give up for a rental player. Liiljegren is going to be a Leaf for a long time. I honestly think you'd have a better shot getting Sandin than him.

Nashville needs middle 6 wingers who can kill penalties right now. PLD is too expensive of an acquisition for that role. Tomasino they expect to take a big step forward this season, and is the kind of player they want long-term. Also, Nashville wants to lock up their core going forward, and I doubt PLD will resign there. He said he would prefer to play in a big market in the North-East, meaning someone like Montreal or one of the New York teams.

No way Appleton signs for that cheap.
And I don't think Nashville is the best trade partner to get PLD. He has been very vocal about the fact that he wants to be traded to Montreal, and I feel they will most likely make a deal for him.
