That being said, not enough value there for Calgary to make the trade.

A trade for Tkachuk is risky because he might bounce to St.Louis next year when he is a free agent. So why give up futures for him for only one year?

If the Leafs trade for him, Nylander + an extra asset is fair compensation.

Imo, the Flames should try to get as much possible from the Blues with an extension in place for Tkachuk.

Nylander + Kerfoot isnt in the ballpark
