Not even close to being interesting for Montreal. I understand there'd be a cost to dump Anderson... but we do not need to! So let's not.

Without Anderson, Smith+Pit's 1rst could be worth our first and Winnipeg's, maybe with one of our lower-end LHD, but certainly not Hutson.

Why would MLT move number 5 overal pick, plus Makar lite for a center they dont need. When they have Beck, Suzuki and Dach

the other two picks for Andersons contract is WILD. That Calgary pick might be a flames pick. as the conditions arent sorted yet

It’s a combination of smith and moving Anderson 3years off the books, and Huston is no where near Makar lite, he’s going to be good but not tops in the leauge.

Then we’re left with 2024 5th OA, 2025 1st (CGY) and Lane Hutson for

2024 14th OA and Will Smith.

I think value wise there, Montreal is overpaying but I also don’t think the Sharks wouldn’t move smith for that. Idk hard trade to evaluate.

I think your spot on too much cost for Montreal to make this deal and at the same time not enough value for sharks to make the deal. This one is just not feasible for either side honestly.
