That's a pretty easy no for the Flames. Weegars better then graves, and I'd rather keep the younger and highly skilled Kuzmenko over Rust.

      Leafs pass.

Jarry is average (Nedelkovic was better than him last year)

POJ essentially = connor timmins (bottom pair dman at best)

Owen Pickering B+ prospect, Toronto would have interest

Not sure what Samuel Poilin will pan out to be, Leafs not interested in a project

2nd and a 3rd arent exactly what Toronto is looking for for a top winger

      This screams quantity over quality

Guentzel trade is an ok comparison, but different circumstances and team directions

Hawks decline. Move up from pick 67 to 46 is not enough to take on 4 years of Rickard at $5M per year

yes it is more than enough. it is actually crazy to think pit will have to pay to get rid of him at all. I can easily see the sharks paying a 4th or 5th to have a veteran to play with their kids through the 3 to 4 years of rebuild... 3/4 years being generous.

no, obviously rust is much better then Kuzmenko. it is not even a debate. if I were pit I would never do that trade, I'd try to get weeger through prospects and picks plus graves keeping rust.

No chance the Hawks do that. Pens are going to have to pay a lot more to move that contract out.

Hawks aren't in the position of needing that kind of player as they already have that role.

Flames easily say no to this and graves is a massive downgrade from weegar but rust is definitely not a downgrade from kuzy. Rust is by far a more complete player and scored at a far better rate.

penguins aren't paying that for Marner.

If the penguins want marner they will wait till the offseason when he becomes a free agent.
As I don't see Marner waiving and I don't see anyone being willing to pay him the 12+ mil he wants.

maybe the hawks have already that role covered. other teams don't.

so again pit won't be paying to get rid of a good hockey player who had 1 bad season.

Great send him to SJ. Hawks are closer to coming out of their rebuild than SJ. Hawks are looking at new contracts for Bedard and KK in 2 years.

it's not my post lol. and yeah Chicago is in a better spot cuz of bedard, but still 3 to 4 years before being competitive.

And we don't need 4 years of Rakell.

You will have to pay more to trade him to the Hawks. That is a fact. They don't need Rakell so it is a cap dump from Hawks perspective.
