Chicago probably wouldn't trade all that capital just to move up. They need to build their farm.

Handing a lot of leverage to agents with that move is all. And with that said, I don't think we can handle another $7-8m winger with Luke and Nemec coming up. We need some cheaper talent in areas.

Yes, I would bite on that. Our window is probably in four or five years and Holtz obviously needs a change of scenery but I think we are resigning Buch for the long haul he has been excellent for us.

1. Draft Dickinson, Buium, Catton if they fall
2. If not, trade down for some younger (age 22-25) guys with term. maybe future 3c, defensive dman, or goalie.
3. Add at least one more pick in 2025.

Depends who the Hawks have on their board. I personally don't see a huge separation in this draft beyond pick 8 or so.

CHI might actually consider an overpayment like this. We already have a lot of depth in our prospect pool and need more high quality players. Personally, I would be interested in seeing if we could work something out for NJD's 1st, but I think this is a bit much.

Hawks already have a lot of prospects and a lot of picks. They can't make them all. If there is a move to be made to package picks up to get a player they like now is the time to do it. There is a contract limit and now is the time to start looking for quality over quantity.

One for one with a guaranteed extension I'd consider, but only if we solve goaltending first and Catton is off the board
