I gotta say the Canucks are screwing themselves here. I hate to be the one to break it to you but…by signing Petterson that might have cost Vancouver the ability to resign Boeser. Trading Hronek really compounds problems for the D. Gudbranson is ok but he is simply not a top pairing D-man. Personally, you should target Severson. He fits more easily and his cap hit is relatively decent.

Is it weird the parts I’m not thrilled about are the two RD? But Hog for KJ doesn’t work, either. I don’t want to be on the hook for Hronek’s next deal, with Sevo already on the books, and I am very loath to let Gudbranson go.

My stipulation is jiricek has asked out quietly. Unlikely but if he has then replace him with hronek and move jiricek for a better young forward.
