Without an extension I definitely don't 'see Chychrun being worth as much as the Sens paid for him. That being said, a low 1st straight up feels fair for a solid top-four defenseman with strong offensive upside.

Feel free to tell me the Stars aren't looking for d-men or that he doesn't fit. Nevertheless I think a young guy like Bourque represents fair value for Chychrun and would be the kind of trade I'd like to see Ottawa target to bolster the top 9. Giroux's contract is up soon and they need winger depth that they currently don't have.

The goaltending moves here are mostly wishful thinking on my part. Would love to give Korpisalo's money to Stolarz, but no idea if he's interested in leaving Florida (probably not).

In any case these kinds of moves are what I want to see from Ottawa this off-season. Re-balancing the defense by adding another solid defensive d-man on the right, solidifying the forwards with depth scoring and youth/speed, and doing something about the league's worst goalie tandem last year.
