Disagree the Hawks accept on the Lee dump. TWO years of about to turn 34 and coming off a 37 point paced season (hasn't been North of 60 pts in 7 seasons....the kind of production you expect out of 7 million in cap) for just a 2nd one year off seems pretty light. At a minimum, I think the Hawks would want to swap the Tampa first for the Isles first (currently moving 5 spots) in addition to a future 2nd. I know the cap is going up so in theory the value to help a team move cap will decline some, but I don't think THIS much.

Hawks might still have some interest in taking Lee. But JGP seems like a better fit for the Hawks than Lee is. Hawks could use another middle 6 C more than another middle 6 LW. I could see the Hawks taking JGP for future considerations.

Palmieri could be a good fit in LA but not at that price. LA has better options in free agency that wouldn't cost them any picks and around the same in cap. A guy like Toffoli is going to get about the same AAV, he produces more and is familiar with the system already not to mention loved by the LA fan base. If the NYI wanted a 2nd from LA for Palmieri they would have to retain so I'm positive this wouldn't work, a realistic counter from LA could be something like Kaliyev+3rd.

Agreed. And I think that even that is too much.

Hurricanes decline

NSH declines. They've got plenty of depth centers already.

1st and a 3rd isn’t getting Necas. Going to need a much better prospect than Wahlstrom to even get the Canes to consider.
