No Ottawa takes that in a heartbeat but no chance Vancouver offers it. The Nucks have been looking for a top 4 RD for like 4 years now, they finally got a good one and they trade him away for a winger they don't need? The winger market is pretty flooded this offseason, if they want a new one they can grab one there

RHD , especially top 4, will be highly sought after - can’t see Ottawa landing any top FA, especially at a position where multiple teams are looking to upgrade

Yeah Ottawa passes simply b4ecause Hronek has his contract ending and Batherson plays well above his cap hit. If Hronek had 2-3 more years on it I think it would definitely be something to consider.

Top 6 Wingers are more replaceable and generally have less trade value than Top 4 right shot defencemen.

as for replacement, find another 60-70P winger that is under 26, that makes less than 5M and that wont cost OTT an arm and a leg then you can trade Bath
