I’d be fine with Ullmark for Holtz/3rd from Boston perspective.

If the Canes trade Necas, they are likely getting a top shelf player or prospect back at a position of need. I do like that their cap position does look like it might rip some important players from them.

Ullmark to NJ makes sense. Holtz or the 2025 first or Casey. Not sure which one I prefer.

So the Canes downgrade Necas for Holtz and get 2 3rds and a C tier prospect? That ain't enough, no matter how you cut it

Drai is realistic. 1 year left on his deal and does not seem to be happy there. Don’t be surprised if B’s make a big push for him.

The B’s don’t have the young players to get him though Swayman would be a start.

I’d expect Swayman, the question is can they do it without adding Carlo. Probably not. Would they be willing to. Depends who they think they can get in free agency.

I’d expect they want to keep guentzel for sure. Jarvis may go on a bridge deal but not an overly cheap one he’s been a top 3-4 forward for the last 2 seasons for you guys probably 5.5 mill minimum.


You guys will loose a lot of depth but atleast getting holtz to replace necas gives you guys lots of cap to retain some depth.

Holtz still has a high ceiling NJ just screwing him over right now, necas took a similar route in development before really breaking out last season

Don't need to re-sign Skjei, we have Orlov. Don't need to re-sign both Chatfield and Pesce, we have Morrow coming through. Jarvis can get bridged. We have a LOT of ways to make the cap work without losing Necas and there is NOTHING here interesting for Necas
