Considering the Avs gave up Byram for Mittelstadt they aren’t gonna move him for that package

Because Colorado paid way more for him.

Because it would be stupid for Colorado to trade their 2C for futures when they are a mature contending team trying to win cups now.

Lane is likely returning to BU, he isnt pro ready let alone nhl ready.
What is that Mitts return? Make it your 1st this year, Avs can work with that to replace him as a 2c.

Bravo, well done for putting Matheson back as a fwd where he belongs. Not being sarcastic.

For someone who see Hutson in person, you are completly wrong. He is NHL ready, but his size can affect him, but he is NHL ready.

Brutal. I doubt the Avs are even interested in mtl first but it would be a better starting point. Mtl is going to give up more for newhook than mittlestadt? Yeah that’s a no from the Avs.

I know the Avs trade is horrible for them but I wouldn't be trading Fowler until we know he isn't gonna be the next Roy, the kid's ceiling is just so high for a 3rd round pick.

We're in the same boat for watching him play. He is mighty talented but still has a few things to work on before he would be able to play his style against pros.
1. He moves with the puck in a way that closes off passing lanes and limits his options. He needs to learn to create a threat of a pass in the ozone. Theres a common problem with BU and sticking to the systems.
2. His size, he needs to grow more.
3. He needs more confidence and control when being defended properly. If you try to force a move he will shimmy n shake you out of your skates, but if you stay calm and just cut of his angles, he short circuts and creates turn overs.
4. He has another brother coming into the program next season I believe, or maybe its Mack.
5. BU is in a positition that they can be a force for a few seasons, I can see him coming back for another Beanpot and Frozen 4 run.

Not trying to say he wont be an nhler, but he would benefit from another year and I've heard a few guys are looking to come back.

Agree with your position, but :

1. I'm for thoses who think that the ajustment will gonna came easily in the NHL level, maybe can take few games, but that's will not gonna be a problem. He already have experience against men's at the WCH last spring.

2. Agree with the size point.

3. I think that he is a VERY confidence player when he have the puck, but his style of play just don't looks that, but his confidence with the puck is a Elite level. Also, I didn't see somes situation that he maked a massive mistake because he maked a turnover (exept once at the Beanpot final this season).

4. Cole Hutson is heading to BU next season, and he said that he can come back to BU for the next season, but his older brother (Quinn Hutson) said that Lane will likely gonna sign with MTL after their season.

If he can't do it at a slower and weaker level, he won't likely just pick it up in a few games against faster, stronger, and more experienced men.
WCH was a good insight and he should go for another if able. Tourny's are different than a full season grind.
Confidence might be the wrong word but I want to see him breathe, slow things down and control a situation under pressure. The issue is something he does in almost every game. Watch for it and you cant unsee it. It honestly might only take him speaking with a few high end PK guys, seeing how they think and approach him and then gaining an understanding and ability to predict habits.
I hope he goes back for selfish reasons lol. I could be wrong but its the feeling that I get.
