this is a tough one. Obviously the norris contract comes with some pretty significant risk given his shoulder issues, but if he can ever shake those off this is a ton to give up for EK imo

Does it really matter what a player asks? (well unless Dubas is GM). You know best, but is Pesce even worth 6.5m now? And to sign a near 30 year old to a six year contract seems so unwise.

Unwise, probably, but Pesce's been one of the best RHD in the league for his career, especially defensively. He's got good offensive analytics too, so there will be GMs looking at him thinking that they can get more out of him. He's worth 6.5, I don't think there's any argument with that, but the issue is the term he's going to want. 6 years for a 29 year old is brave, but it's also stomach-able knowing he's going to make any team SO much better

Cap-hit is high for what he brought this season, but the $4M salary would probably pique the interest of ownership.

For a third rounder? I'm in. Methinks he can hit the upper teens in goals and 25-30 assists while playing on the third line while also contributing to the PK and maybe PP if necessary.
