I'd argue Saros has been playing well. He's just not playing as well as he has in recent years. Not to mention the team in front of him is in fluctuation, which hasn't helped him or his stats. If you've watched any of the Preds games, he's been the victim of a lot of bad bounces. Like double deflections off of defenders, defenders screening him trying to block shots, and defenders missing easy assignments in the crease. Not making excuses just pointing out that he's a very good goaltender in not the best situation.
Either way at this point I think a Saros trade happens in the offseason and not before the TDL just because of the asking price and teams don't seem to be desperate enough to meet that
