The rumour has been there all season so let’s finally sign Tanev. He’s older so a short term deal is all we should give. 2 years for 5.5 could be a good deal if he is able to bring the physicality he currently plays with.

Lyubushkin returning will help our team defence. I would love to see him and McCabe playing together. These guy will destroy other teams forwards when they are on their game.

Benoit had been a happy surprise for us this year. He gets a raise but also stays a cheep player for us who also plays physical.

Brad has wanted to have a backend that is physical and tough to play against this six allows us to have that. Reilly will bring the offence from the back end with a little from McCabe and maybe Liligren (I think this line up will allow for more offence from him) able to put up a few points as well.

The Forward group is going to be the same group as always because how do you move them with a few more players mixed in to bolster the line up. I would bring back Bert because I think he’s going to rebound after this year. But he has lost value on his next deal unless he has a great second half and playoffs.

I like the third line could do better than Domi but I think he is the best we can afford for that role and he plays with attitude and passion that we need.

The 4th line is going to be a problem for anyone we play against. All three guys are assholes and will cause issues for the other team. Plus this is a line you can play for 10-12 minutes a night without being a liability. They also give us size. Imagine these three guys coming over the boards late in a game we’re losing knowing they are going to bring some sort of energy either by scoring a goal or punching someone in the face.

This team will have swagger without losing the ability to score.
