Not the prospects to trade in my estimation. Def not both of them. Hoglander is just such a stud. One of the best value contracts on the team. And Podz I think might be the same as Hogs next yr. Could be a bit wishful thinking on him but people are righting him off a little which i don't think is wise. 1st, Brzuschevich, Kuzmenko is probably the best offer we can do I'd say.

Not for Calgary it isn't, You're not getting 50% retention on Elias Lindholm without a 1st round pick going back to Calgary.

Calgary 100% passes, There's no freaking way they retain 50% on Elias Lindholm without a 1st round pick coming back.

You’re getting Podkolzin and Hoglander back. And a 2nd on top. Basically a 1st + 2nd + 2nd. They’re already going to to get first rounders for Tanev and Hanifin. Might as well take back stud young forwards and a 2nd rounder

Calgary has no centers or defenseman coming through the pipeline. There are already too many wingers that aren't waiver eligible, and at least 3 we are trying to make spots for this season. This trade makes no sense

What's unbelievable? How pathetic the offer is or the fact that I stated the obvious?

Hoglander is already a solid middle six winger who hasn’t reached his ceiling and projects as a top six winger. Podkolzin is close to NHL ready and projects as a responsible two way middle six winger. Both have years of value ahead of them and are sure to play more than 200 nhl games. Canucks first is going to be a very late 1st. Only 25% of 2nd round picks play 200 nhl games or more. So call it a 30% chance that 1st becomes an NHL regular. Less to become middle six like Hoglander and Podkolzin.

So those saying this is an underpay are out to lunch. It’s an overpay. Canucks will keep both as they are too valuable given their next few years cap hit vs production. They are happy to offer up their 1st and a prospect.

Hyperbole aside we aren't interested in Hoglander or Podkolzin, maybe one of them as an throw in but not as a main piece. They're both left shot wingers, about the very last thing Calgary needs or wants other than another NHL goalie. Neither one is as good as some of you claim either.

It'll take a better player or prospect than either of those two, a 1st and a 2nd. Or something of equivalent quality and value.

Otherwise go pound sand. Bidding wars aren't won by the low bid you know.

I agree with your valuation. 1st, 2nd and a prospect for Lindholm with retention. So pound your own sand.
