Right, so let's just send the better defenseman, a solid middle-six center prospect, a cap dump, a likely top ten pick in this year's draft, and a second 1st rounder. All for one of the worst defenseman on one of the worst contracts in the league. Because they gain, theoretically, $14M in cap space.

The defensive defenseman who shutdowns McDavid on the regular or the defensive blackhole who's only saving grace is his ability to QB a PP?

As for that $14M Minnesota has coming off the books in a couple years. Jones? Really? I'd rather spend that money on the young stud talent Minnesota has coming up that'll be due raises as they come off their ELC's right when the buyouts end.
