Was he in net?

Was he penalty killing?

Was he playing forward?

The problem was missed defensive assignments. They were getting saves by Jones but gave Canes 2 very easy PP goals

No matter whose in net if your doing this your gonna bleed points. Defense has been the main issue for this team a 5 game sample size dont change that. Just go look at the Bunting goal. Nobody covering him goes middle of the lane goal, seen that to many times this year more so than Sammy playing

That little black tick up on the chart is the defensive issues you keep yelling about. Compared to Sammy it's a drop in the bucket

They aren't rushing him. They will give a rookie a start or two. The pressure is small. Be better than Sammy was. Right now that's really not hard. Go out and enjoy yourself.

In general until defensive structure is improved it wont matter whose in net they aint going no where.

Hildeby is a very sensitive goalie. One wrong move and we could ruin him

You have been a huge Sammy supporter since last season. And once you get stuck on something that's it, nothing will change your mind. The fact that you are blaming the defence and not him is telling. It's foolish to say they don't need to improve their defensive positioning as well but Jones and Woll have made saves that keep them winning. Samsonov doesn't make any right now. He's broken and running him out just isn't working right now. Hopefully he bounces back but I said it last year in the playoffs. Woll's the guy. He isn't weak between the ears.

So I guess it's Hildeby's time to shine? Leafs were also interested in Brian Elliotte this offseason, maybe he's a guy to look at (although he's not much better IMO). Maybe Halak?

I don't really care one way or another who gets called up. It should be Hilldeby though, he's been better and deserves a start. Just come up vs Anaheim, make the saves you are supposed to and enjoy it. No pressure at all. Petrulezzi hasn't been very good this season. There is a good chance he's not going to be all that good.

Really the hope is Jones can hold down the fort for a few weeks until Woll is back. Then it's Woll and Jones which is good enough. Jones isn't very good but he's fine

He's better but at the same time it's his first season in NA and he's a sensitive goalie. Plus if he's up he's only getting 3 games in a 4 week span that's a lot of sitting and not developing or improving
