I want Klapka. 6'8, 245lbs as per capfriendly. 4th line centre or winger. Would love to have him for depth. He is only 23 also.

Maybe a little steep for Hanifin. Take any pick. Take a dman from prospect pool. But I don’t know that we would include Bahl unless Fitzy intended on extending Hanifin.

Either way, I think we have the pieces, cap space to get it done.

Hanifin = 1st + 3rd
Tanev = 2nd + 3rd
Lindholm = 1st + 2nd

No problem including Bahl in the deal as long as it comes with the extension. Meier was an RFA so we had security last year with making a deal without an extension. To give up Bahl and multiple high picks would have to come with an extension. The reported 6.25 AAV is fair imo

To be clear, I don't believe in sign and trades from Cup contending teams (such as Nylander). Contenders do not allow their stars to negotiate with other If Calgary are sellers , and think they are "out of it". y yeah there could be sign and trades.
Unless teams are truly desperate, I don't see teams giving up some much for these players listed. Are they really differences makers?
Just my thoughts on the signing next year of Lindholm......He's a 2C, and will be 30 years of age. Seem outrageous to me he six or more years. Tanev is even older, what is his true signing value? Hanifan is probably can get seven or even eight year contract due to age.

Good luck fitting that in with the Mercer extension and improving the goaltending. I think Hanifin is a great fit if you can find a way to realistically manage that. Mercer is good enough that a bridge contract is likely not a realistic option.
