I wouldn't accept that trade if I was CBJ. And EDM is forth bottom team in the whole league. If they would turn it around and win the cup that would be the turn around of the century.

If you argue that EDM is the fourth worst team in the league, then you have absolutely no idea how this team is doing. We will be in the playoff zone, that's absolutely certain, it's only a matter of time. EDM is a great team. I see several positions that need to be strengthened and here I have made them. The cup is very close to Edmonton this year and hopefully the cup will be there.

I didn't agrue anything. I went in to nhl.com and checked the standings. I didn't say it was impossible. Just that it would be the turn around of the century. (So unlikely but not impossible if you like). But problem is still that CBJ don't do that trade, or rather I wouldn't if I was GM of CBJ.

I'm going to need some more sugar in that CBJ deal if im having to eat the bitter ass contract that is Soup. Berezkin is a solid prospect but Elvis is pulling a Stella and getting his groove back this year are there are signs of hope for the future. Is columbus "flush" with goalies right now, NO but we do have some young guys showing promise. IF Tarosov had come into the season healthy and ready to tear it up we would be having a different discussion.

Just checked. 23-games in they had the 5th worst P% (.435). The Oilers are 5th worse right now after 22-games (.432). So, would be the exact same if the Oilers get an overtime loss in their next game, will see though if the Blues dropped lower. Looks like they started rising in December.

Four years of retention requires compensation. Taking on Campbell requires compensation, as Elvis is the superior goalie here (and younger). This deal offers neither.

No worries, and the Blues got God like goaltending from Binnington. And he sort of came from nowhere. In away I would rejoice in letting McDavid get that monkey off his back
