I will preface this with mentioning that the odds Seattle trades Wright are basically zero. Regardless of how this season goes, they're clearly planning for him to be a big part of their team for years to come.
However, in a hypothetical Wright trade situation, I can really only see three scenarios where such a transaction would make sense for the Kraken:
1. Wright is a key piece in a package for a star - For Vancouver this would mean Wright would be one of several pieces going to the Canucks in exchange for someone like Pettersson or Hughes. Given their chosen franchise trajectory and start to the season, I doubt this would be palatable to Canucks management.
2. Wright is traded for a similar prospect/young-NHLer at a different position of need - This one would be difficult for the Canucks to pull off as their prospect pool really doesn't have anyone of Wright's caliber right now. Wallinder probably comes the closest, but it would take another premium piece or two on top of him to even out the value disparity, and even then I'm not sure the Kraken bite.
3. Someone makes an insane overpayment offer for Wright that the Kraken cannot refuse. I don't know what this would specifically look like from the Canucks' point of view, but I doubt their fans would be too pleased with this scenario should it occur.
