Luke Hughes is untouchable and Palat blocks the trade. Liljegren is good but not worth a quarter what Hughes is, and Markstrom was so bad last year that he singlehandedly lost the Flames their playoff spot.

Contrary the outrage in the comments. I believe if you take some time to think through the Calgary flames it's a great deal for the Flames.

Markstrom is a player the Flames should be happy to trade with Vladar and Wolf behind him. At $6M for 3 years his value is likely negative after last year.
Ruzicka is a longshot to be anything more than a 3rd liner.
