Gotta love TV personalities, first someone on ESPN saying the Rangers arnen't a major sports team.

Then this, trade for one of the better players in the league and not give up anything substancial.

As no offence to the Ducks, if you take out futures and members of their young core, they don't really have much else to give up.

I fully expect Nylander to test FA. Only way Toronto trades him is a Tkachuk style deal where they get pieces back they think can push them over the top this year. Otherwise, he's an own rental.

In reality, it's not worth resigning him. Unless, they can find a way without totally blowing up their depth.

He's a really really good player though, he was also their best goal scorer last year with Matthew's dealing with his wrist.

I think that they can resign him and not be in trouble.
