I guess I could see Morrissey as being overrated, but there’s no way Hellebuyck is overrated. The Jets wouldn’t have made the playoffs last year or any year before that without Hellebuyck. They’re basically a lottery team without him considering their lack of defensive ability. He’s definitely a top 5 goalie in the league if not top 3.

If matthews ever put up draisaitl numbers Toronto media would almost immediately say he’s the goat and better than McDavid but he isn’t good enough to put up 55G and 55A in a season or 128pts

He scored 60 goals and he actually knows how to play defense

But doesn’t know how to play in the playoffs that’s right he isn’t in the same category as McDavid draisaitl Makar Mackinnon and it’s embarrassing to think he is

Pretty good list actually. Not sure why Hughes is on here though? He's not among the top defensemen, but then I don't see many other than a few Canucks fans claiming he is.

Why is he not among the top defenseman? He has consistently been near the top of the league offensively, and his defensive game was very good this year. He had some of the best numbers in the entire league last season. Better than the likes of Dahlin and Heiskanen who are always heralded as a tier above
