NJ isn’t trading for Gibson. It’ll be Hellebuyck or they go with Vanecek and Schmid. Also, I think it would be best for the Ducks to give Zegras a long term contract because I think if they bridge him, it’s gonna cost them more down the line. If you can get Zegras for 8-9mil on a 8 year contract, do it.

I certainly buy that Gibson is better than he appears in Anaheim. but...how much better? for how much longer? and what's the price point that makes that gamble worth it?

as far as I see it, there are just better options available.

again its just how much better and for how long. I tend to agree that he's better than what he's showing so far. I just don't think it's enough of a difference to risk moving assets and take on that contract.

right, I think there's both a workload argument and a "doesn't give a ****" argument.

again, I dont think that covers the gap enough to make him a target for the devils, but I do think he's likely better than his public numbers.
