He will be dealt to the highest bidder among teams he has agreed to extend with. It is his call if that list is 10 teams or 1 team. Not San Jose’s call to pick where he signs.</div></div>
And once again I think it was Friedman who was saying Meier would have the power not the Sharks.

Top 20 Potential Trade Bait List Jan 28th
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>LIRIK</b></div><div>They're looking for a top 6 winger.</div></div>
I see it being a younger winger because Fitzgerald was asked about it and he said he was looking for a young winger to go along and grow with our core, i.e. Meier. It could be Tarasenko but what would NJ trade for Tank?

Just to be clear, I would Wood to re-sign in NJ. But if he wants more than 2.5mil per year I’d just let him walk.

Jack Hughes MVP or Runner-Up
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>SNipeSHowInc</b></div><div>I’ll start with the could Hughes win it, the answer is no.
McDavid is dominating even for his own standards with the added goal scoring. Almost like he saw Matthews score 60 and wanted to prove to the world he could do it just as easily.
Could Hughes be runner up? Potentially. But there are a few guys who are in that ball park.
Pastrnak is leading a Bruins team that is on pace to break every NHL team record.
Tage Thompson could score 50 and lead Buffalo into their first playoff series in over 10 years.
Rantanen put the Avalanche on his back when guys like Mackinnon, landeskog, nichuskin all went down with injuries.
So he’s in the ballpark of runner up, but certainly not MVP and certainly not guarantee of runner up</div></div>
As of right now, I think the 3 finalists for the Hart should be McDavid, Hughes and Ullmark.

That's what I was thinking to of when Taylor Hall won it. McDavid won the Art Ross for the most points that year and had 15 more points than Hall, but Taylor dragged our team to the playoffs that year.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>NHLfan10506</b></div><div>But the frustrating thing for me is that all of these deals ask for Holtz to be included, when in reality, Devils have a ton of other assets for Grier to chose from. I doubt Fitzgerald will be unable to meet their price. And I doubt Grier hangs it all on Holtz being included.
The sticking point will be Meier’s contract number. We have other mouths to feed.</div></div>
Exactly. I agree 100%. The only good thing is we are talking to SJ about Meier and they are apparently allowing all teams to talk to Meier's agent about a contract extension. Another good thing is that if we miss out on Meier its not the end of the world. We missed out on Gaudreau and signed Palat, looks pretty good to me. Even if Fitzy doesn't make a move before the deadline, I'm ok with that. Let's ride it out and see how far this young core can go as is this season.

NJ Deadline Questions
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>BrodeurBro30</b></div><div>I agree with you. I see the Devils as soft buyers overall.
It’s likely that Fitzgerald will trade for a rental forward (Middle Six) to help the team down the stretch. He will reward the team for outperforming expectations and give them some depth. It’s also true that Fitzgerald is willing to deal Severson if the right package came. Don’t know much about Blackwood, but if the opportunity came, he’s gone as well.
Bahl, Okhotiuk, Walsh, Foote and Thompson all lose their waiver exemptions next season. I wouldn’t be surprised if 1-2 of them are dealt at the TDL.
Any major acquisitions will happen in the offseason. Fitzgerald wants to see the team through the season, analyze the weak points on the roster and make adjustments in the offseason. Great things take time.</div></div>
I'm just thinking of the 2017-2018 with Shero and the minor moves he made. He added Grabner and Maroon. So do you think we'll see players like that then? And who would you take out of the lineup? When Marino comes back it's safe to say Okhotiuk is coming out.

Dumba A Healthy Scratch
I'll ask this question as well. If Dumba is traded, let's say for a young prospect and a pick, does that make Minnesota better or worse? It sounds like Dumba is solid defensively so why would you trade him? Is it just because the Wild feel they can't re sign him?

Dumba A Healthy Scratch
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>RazWild</b></div><div>He absolutely is.
His defense ranks in the 95th percentile for defense by all defenders this year. He's much better defensively than people give him credit for. His offense has dried up a ton, and he's never been the same after the fight with Matt Tkachuk.
But he's gotten better defensively as a result.
That said, he has a penchant for still making bone headed plays given his background as a offensive defenseman when he first started.
Tuesday's game, wasn't good. Both Evason and Dumba agree on that front. Which is why he's sitting, it was a mutual decision by both the coach and player.</div></div>
Does he not have the points because he doesn't play on the top powerplay by chance? I don't follow the Wild that much but I think Addison is the PP1 defender right?
