Jets win the FIRST 3 trades by a landslide. In contrast, they also lose the other 3 pretty bad.

Buffalo is giving up a kings ransom for two players that don't have a robust market or anyone really desperate to make a trade, the Florida trade does nothing for the Panthers and you're not getting a player like Bouchard for a random assortment of players that Edmonton doesn't need and a 1st.

The only one that they lose is the Wild one, but its predicated on the awful Buffalo deal. Arizona is not in the business of taking salary/cap for free and they aren't in a position where they care that much about acquiring veterans. Montreal is not giving up Barron to take on more cap and another season to dump Hoffman's contract and get a D-man that they don't need and probably isn't worth his contract.

I would call the ARI trade an L too, Demelo is actually pretty good, moving him alongside a package of decent-ish players for nothing of value makes no sense to me.

MTL trade...I think they could do better for Pionk. He didn't have a good season but I think he's still a good player. Not really high on Barron personally.

Cap space is more valuable than guys like Demelo right now. Pionk at his contract is not really moveable. Like, you can not be high on Justin Barron, but you're basically getting a similar player with a better rate of production from last season and more room for improvement for 1/6th the price. Winnipeg is the only team that would ever consider a move like that.

AZ is moving away from taking on middle and/or fringe players and they are not paying for them. The frozen tundra is going to have to find another team to dump their scraps, good luck!

It all depends on what point during the season these guys get moved, but honestly this post is faulted from it's very core. Fwiw, here WPG could absolutely afford keeping the guys they dump to ARI. Cap space in itself have value only if you a) use it to the maximum value or b) plan its usage long-term for future.

Hellebuyck nor Scheifele are going to Buffalo, Scheifle goes to Boston and Hellebuyck to New Jersey.
