If both the players are open to extending with a lot of different orgs., then CGY can drive a bidding war with them. If they both want to hit UFA, then CGY is going to get rental returns for them.

Leafs may not have the correct mix of pieces that another organization could be willing to offer. LAK is looking for a stud LD and I'm sure Toffoli would be willing to go back and they have a lot more interesting pieces to be made available
