Carolina and Philly pass big time, Yamamoto is a buy out candidate with 0 value. Bourgault is the only decent piece for Pesce. And that isn't enough.

This is just the deal that Mark Spector threw out. I said to my buddies that I'd build Ken Holland a statue if he pulled that off for Konecny and Seeler.

Scraps is a little of a harsh statement for a replacement top 4 dman and recent first round pick. I get that it might not be the exact value but that deal isnt that far off for a guy that the Hurricanes have publicly stated they likely wont sign.

Friedman, Seravalli and all others have said very recently that Yamamoto, Ceci and Foegele have had multiple interested teams and that they have value around the league. McLeod is also a very underrated piece but I agree that either trade might not meet exact value but they aren't far off in my opinion

Don’t even think that pesce offer gets a counter or response from canes. Ceci is at best a third pair d and likely is 7D on canes. Bourg is fine but not of interest to a team in contention.

Would rather just OS Bouchard at 1x7 and watch you guys scramble to match.

Ya maybe in your dream world or on NHL23. You must have your finger on the pulse of the league better than actual GM's because if you think Konecny or Pesce are fetching you multiple firsts, roster players and prospects you've got to re-evaluate

Ya and hes a cheap and controllable player for them unlike Pesce. Bourgault is likely the best prospect you're going to get for a guy that is pricing himself out of that poverty franchise. Never said it was an exact deal, but like I said, its not as far off as you think it is. And certainly not "multiple firsts" like the guy above thinks. This isnt the NBA where they throw around 1st like theyre candy at the draft.

And Carolina wont even pay their own D-man 7 million so on what planet does it get green lit to offer sheet a guy for one year at 7 million...

Honestly true the Canes have shown they are a poverty franchise and would never sign someone to an expensive offer sheet for 1 year to steal them from another team.

Shocking response..not sure how canes are a poverty franchise, since new ownership came in they’ve spent up to and over the cap with LTIR both from a cap and cash perspective. Fun narrative though!

I don’t really care what other canes fans comment in terms of value, I can only control what I think and say. Never said that pesce is worth multiple firsts and high end prospects or anything like that. That’s a far cry from what you’ve offered. If pesce doesn’t actually get extended (odds are that he will since the rumor was just Lebrun saying they’ll move him if he doesn’t extend, nothing about negotiations have soured and they’re moving him fyi) there will be plenty of teams interested and he’ll return a 23 first and a top prospect if it’s a futures type deal as the base. If you think that’s not the case you should look at prior examples over the last couple of years.

CAR won’t pay Pesce a long term deal bc he’ll be 30 when it kicks in and giving him an 8x7 is idiotic and not the way they do business. You say it’s bc they’re cheap but in reality it’s bc they stick to their valuation methodology. It would be cheap if they moved him for futures and didn’t spend that cap but that’s clearly not the case, so once again you’re wrong. OS a young D with a high ceiling is exactly the type of move they would do, again look at history.

What an idiotic take you had..

Ceci has been in the league a long time. How is it that you missed that he's been top-4 on every team he's played on? He actually plays top pairing in Edmonton the past 2 years and has done well, aside from average play when he was dealing with a core muscle issue. This despite playing among the toughest minutes in the league.

But sure, carry on with your ignorant narrative.

Well that explains why the oilers are bottom half of team defense year over year I guess. You guys should hold onto him if he’s a stud, doesn’t sound like he’s any better than pesce honestly so why bother moving him?
